HTTP Get Postbacks

Purpose

HTTP Get postback is a universal way to send conversion events to any system that accepts GET requests. This can be:

  • Affiliate Network
  • Internal CRM
  • Analytics system
  • Any webhook

Setting up HTTP Get postback

Field "URL"

Specify the base URL for the postback. You can use macros in the URL to substitute dynamic values.

Example of base URL:

https://partner.network/postback

Example URL with macros:

https://partner.network/postback?click_id={event.ext_click_id}&event={postback.event}

Available macros

The tracker supports the following macros for the URL:

Macro

Description

Example value

{event.ext_click_id}

ClickID from the external system

fb.1.123.AbCdEfGh

{event.event_click_id}

Internal Click ID of the tracker

507f1f77bcf86cd799439011

{event.event_type}

Internal event type

cpa_accept

{event.event_revenue}

Amount (revenue) of the event

100

{postback.event}

Event code from the postback (mapping)

status=accept

How to insert a macro:

  1. Click the button with the desired macro (for example, "Ext Click Id")
  2. The macro will automatically be inserted at the current cursor position in the URL field
  3. The button will turn green if the macro is already used in the URL

Example of a ready URL:

https://partner.network/postback?click_id={event.ext_click_id}&status={postback.event}&revenue={event.event_revenue}

When the event accept triggers with revenue = 100 and ext_click_id = AbCdEfGh:

https://partner.network/postback?click_id=AbCdEfGh&status=accept&revenue=100

Event mapping for HTTP Get
